Mexico Cement Import License

Administrative Message 07-0062 contained important information regarding a new license for the importation of cement from Mexico. This change has an effective date of 04/05/2007.

This license requirement is related to the following 3 Harmonized Tariff numbers: 2523.10.00, 2523.29.00, and
2523.90.00.
Make sure to query these tariffs so that your tariff file includes the correct indicators.

You must also receive a program change from ASCI for the system to process the information correctly. Once you have received that change, you will be prompted to enter a license number in the Consumption Entry screen when importing from Mexico using one of the above tariff numbers.

Please call our help desk to have us install the new program or if you have any questions.

Please Note:
The ASCI office will close at noon on Friday, April 6,
in observance of Good Friday
