VPN/MQ Update

Still waiting to upgrade to VPN/MQ? As we reported in our last newsletter, the 800 dial-up number used to communicate to ABI via dial-up modem will no longer be in service effective September 30, 2007.

As anticipated, the release of that deadline has greatly increased the number of ABI users trying to switch over to VPN/MQ. The current MQ Process now takes about a month to set up because of the number of users trying to switch. In addition, new requests must file an ISA (Interconnection Security Agreement) on-line to begin the process.

If you have not made arrangements to change over already, please contact us as soon as possible to ensure you are in compliance well in advance of the due date.

You Asked, We Listened: E-Manifest

We met with several of our customers during last month's trip to San Diego and got a lot of feedback on our programs that will help improve our software and services. Based on our client visits, we are pleased to announce the following changes are being made to the E-Manifest program:

  • Simple Manifest: Like our Simple Entry program, this program only requires you to enter the basic required information for your manifests. It contains simpler screens and takes less time to process. You can still use the regular manifest for more involved shipments, but this program will help to get basic shipments processed in record time.
  • UNFORM printing of the Manifest
  • Data Transfer Feature: We now offer the capability to import or export information from an excel spreadsheet into your e-manifest files.
  • Reporting Options: We are creating new reports with detailed information that you can generate regarding filed manifests.

We always welcome your suggestions to improve our service to you. Give us a call to learn more about these new program features or to give us your feedback. We enjoy meeting with our clients and look forward to talking with you soon!

Next month: You Asked, We Listened program changes for our Accounting software!

Save Time and Money

If you haven't already looked into upgrading your form printing options with UNFORM, now is the time to learn more about this feature.

Take a look at the chart below for current prices of preprinted forms compared to blank paper. Consider these costs the next time you need to order replacement forms. And, don't forget to factor in the time saved not having to adjust dot-matrix printers every time you print form or to scan those printed forms to e-mail them to a customer.

Form
Cost per 1000
7501
$128.00
3461
$152.50
7512
$246.00
Delivery Order

With Unform, you can e-mail these forms right from your computer in addition to printing them on blank paper. Over time, the expense of purchasing this option will be recuperated through the time and money you save from printing forms the old way. Call us at (305) 554-1325 for more info.
