Ordering Forms? Read This First!

Just a reminder that ASCI of Miami software works exclusively with forms that are available from Apperson Print Resources. There are many printers out there who have different formats, but these are not part of the standard ASCI software and may incur additional customization costs for you.

If you need to order forms, you may want to consider our Unform option, which lets you print many of your forms on blank paper. You can also create pdfs to e-mail to your customers. Ask us for more information!

Import: Release 7.01

As we reported last month, ASCI has a new release 7.01 that applies to users of Import and ABI. So far, only 20% of our customers have contacted us to have this release installed.

While you may not be in immediate need of those changes, which include Softwood Lumber, CAFTA and First Sale Indicators, we request that you contact us to get those programs installed. The First Sale Indicator will be mandatory starting on September 20, so please call us to avoid the rush! Installation of 7.01 takes only a few minutes and ensures that you have the latest programs from ASCI.

Hurricane Season Procedures

This has been a busy year for tropical storms and hurricanes, and your disaster recovery plan should always include a back-up schedule of your ASCI data.

Whether it's from natural disasters or computer failure, loss of data can be a very costly event for your company. A nightly back-up ensures that you lose the least amount of data and can recover quickly.

As Hurricane Ike approaches the Texas coast, our thoughts are with our customers there who are preparing for the storm. Please make sure you double check your back-ups to ensure they are updated.

If you need assistance in acquiring a back-up system, our hardware department is available to help. Give us a call so we can find the best back-up plan for you.
