A New Tariff Update: 0805

CBP sent out CSMS# 08-000244 to report a new tariff update that includes changes related to jadeite and rubies. Please make sure to perform this update to ensure you have the latest tariff file.

To do this, go to ABI Procedures / Queries / Reference Files. Select the Harmonized Tariff Update option, and enter 0805 for the Update #. That screen will also tell you what updates you have performed in the past. Please make sure you have done 0801-0804 which were published earlier this year.

Are you looking for a program to keep your customers updated with the latest information about their shipments? If so, you may want to learn more about our automated e-mail notification program.

This new feature allows you to generate e-mails when you receive a response from ABI about a 3461 or 7501. This program has two options:

Operator Notification: The specified operator for each entry will receive an e-mail with accept or reject messages from ABI when the information is transmitted.

Customer Notification: Customers will receive an e-mail notifying them when their entries have been cleared. (Note: Error messages are not e-mailed to customers.)
