GSP and ATPDEA: Extension of Benefits

CSMS # 09-000004 was sent on January 7 reporting the extension of benefits for GSP and ATPDEA. Please make sure you update your country file to continue to receive these benefits. In addition, Bolivia was suspended from ATPA and ATPDEA benefits as per CSMS #09-000007.

To update your countries, go to Import Procedures/File Maintenance/Country Port Fee and the Country Codes. To assist you in updating these files, we have created a document with screen shots of the country records that you need to change. To view this document, click on the following link or copy and paste to your browser: www.asciofmiami.com/countries.pdf

In addition, Costa Rica was added to CAFTA and so must be included in the CAFTA Countries table to calculate those benefits. Go to Import Procedures/ File Maintenance/ Tables. For Table ID, enter CAFTACTR, and then enter the country information for Costa Rica (CR Costa Rica) at the bottom of the table. Make sure to press <Page Down> to save your changes.

Please contact us if you need additional assistance.

U.S. Customs will be closed on January 19 in honor of Martin Luther King's birthday.

However, our office will remain open on that day.

Courage does not always roar. Sometimes, it is the quiet voice at the end of the day saying,
"I will try again tomorrow"
