Lacey Act and Release 7.05, Please Read!

As you know, we are still in the midst of many CBP changes, and May 1 brings about the enforcement date for phase I of the Lacey Act. To help us send these updates in the most efficient way, we are compiling all of these changes into Release 7.05, which should be available later this month. We will send out another ASCI Memo to let you know when it is ready to be installed.

In the meanwhile, please read below to see if you may require installation of these programs before then.

Lacey Act: Phase 1 covers entries that use the following classifications. Unless you are specifically using one of these tariffs for any entry after May 1, you do not need to receive the program changes right away.

4401 - Fuel wood
4403 - Wood in the rough
4404 - Hoopwood, poles, posts, stakes
4406 - Railway and tramway sleepers
4407 - Wood sawn or chipped lengthwise
4408 - Sheets for veneering
4409 - Wood continuously shaped
4417 - Tools, tool handles, broom handles
4418 - Builders joinery

Importer Updates/Bond Queries: Many of our customers have already called to receive the program update brought about by changes in the ACE processing system. If you try to do an Importer Update and/or Bond Query and find you are not getting a response, please give us a call so we can install that for you.

ISF (10+2): On May 18, CBP will be making changes to how they process the 10+2 and we will have the programs ready for that deadline.

Accounts Payable Users, Take Note

Release 7.05 will also include our latest Accounts Payable update, which includes some of our new features to streamline the check-writing process.
